April 21, 2011

Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto May 5 and 7
Symphony 201: Music of Mozart and Bruckner May 8

ROCHESTER, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, under the director of Music Director Christopher Seaman, pays homage to the music of Mozart and Bruckner in May.  First, Principal Clarinet Kenneth Grant is featured in Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto on May 5 and 7.  The program also includes Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7.

The Symphony 101 series concludes for the 2010-2011 Season with Symphony 201: Music of Mozart and Bruckner.  In his final Symphony 101 concert as Music Director, Christopher Seaman will take excerpts from Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Bruckner’s Symphony No. 7 performed on the Philharmonics Series, and go in-depth with the stories behind the music.
