~Admission is free, but tickets are required in advance~

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) invites the Rochester community to a special season announcement in Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre on Tuesday, February 10 at 7 p.m.  New Music Director Ward Stare will emcee the announcement as well as lead the entire orchestra on stage in performing excepts from his inaugural 2015/16 season.

“Developing a deeper, richer relationship with our audience and our community is a major passion of mine and will be a recurring theme for the RPO moving forward,” explains Maestro Stare, a Rochester native. “We want to share our excitement about the upcoming season with as many people as possible.”

The event is free, but tickets are required in advance of the concert. The RPO encourages those interested in attending to reserve their seats as soon as possible by calling (585) 454-2100 and mentioning the word “SURPRISE.”  Eastman Theatre Box Office hours are 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday. A full house is expected, and requests will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Seating is general admission.
