Tickets on sale this week for July 3rd concert at CMAC

New lower prices & free children’s tickets under shell this year

Rochester, NY – Celebrate Independence Day with your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO) at Constellation Brands-Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center (CMAC, 3355 Marvin Sands Drive, Canandaigua, NY 14424) on Friday, July 3, 2015 at 8 p.m.  Patriotic Salute with Ward Stare and the RPO will feature patriotic favorites, including Sousa’s Stars and Stripes Forever and Tchaikovsky’s 1812 Overture, followed by a stunning post-concert fireworks display over the CMAC lawn.

"Our annual July 3rd concert of patriotic and Independence Day classics at CMAC is a favorite tradition of many families in the Finger Lakes region, and we’re excited that this year’s will feature our new Music Director Ward Stare," says RPO President and CEO Charles Owens. “And, a special thank-you goes to Constellation Brands for their support in bringing this concert to CMAC for the seventh consecutive summer.”

Tickets range from $10 (new low price) to $39 (also lower) for table seats. Like last year, each adult ticket purchased qualifies the buyer to two free tickets for those 18 years of age and under, but this year’s offer includes shell seating (excluding tables) in addition to lawn seating. Presale tickets are available to RPO subscribers tomorrow (Tuesday, March 3) at 10 a.m. through Thursday, March 5 at 10 p.m. Tickets go on sale to the public on Friday at noon. They can be purchased at ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000, and at the Blue Cross Arena Box Office (One War Memorial Square or 585-758-5330).

The RPO’s summer season is presented by The Elaine P. and Richard U. Wilson Foundation; the RPO’s 2014/15 season is presented by Dawn and Jacques Lipson. Please visit rpo.org for all RPO shows, and view the 2015 CMAC line-up and show announcements at www.cmacevents.com.
