Rochester, NY - Single tickets for all 2006-07 Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra concerts will go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, September 5 at 10 a.m. From Bugs Bunny to our own "Search for a Star" to internationally acclaimed violinist Pinchas Zukerman, there is something for everyone at every age. Individual tickets will be available for Opening Night Celebration with Sarah Chang on Saturday, October 7, as well as all Philharmonics, Pops, orKIDStra, and Symphony 101 concerts, the popular holiday Nutcracker with the Rochester City Ballet and Handel's Messiah with the Rochester Oratorio Society. Tickets can be purchased in a variety of ways: at the RPO Box Office (108 East Avenue), by calling 585-454-2100, online at www.rpo.org, or at any of the Rochester-area Wegmans Video Departments (10:30 - 9 p.m. daily). A complete season schedule is online; the newly launched RPO website easily facilitates ticket purchases.
Opening Night Celebration features the celebrated violin virtuoso Sarah Chang performing Vivaldi's beloved Violin Concerto in an all-Italian evening boasting works by Verdi and Respighi. Single tickets range from $26-60.
