RPO Appoints Christopher C. Booth as New Board Member

Rochester, NY – The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra has appointed Christopher C. Booth as a new member of its Board of Directors, filling a one-year vacancy.  Mr. Booth is Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate General Counsel of Lifetime Healthcare Companies.  In this position, he is responsible for the management of various functions including health policy, government relations, legal affairs, corporate compliance, risk management and internal audit, as well as overseeing the home care and hospice operations. 

Mr. Booth is a graduate of the College of The Holy Cross with a bachelor’s degree in English, and subsequently received his Juris Doctor Degree from Union University’s Albany Law School in 1986.  From 1986-2003, Mr. Booth was an attorney with Hinman Straub, P.C. with a practice dedicated exclusively to health care services for insurers and HMOs.  During the last years of his tenure with Hinman Straub, he served as Chair of the firm’s health practice. 

Serving the Rochester community, Mr. Booth is a Steering Committee Member of the Young Leaders Club of the United Way, and a Member of the Corporate Advisory Council of Flower City Habitat for Humanity.    

Now in its 84th season, the RPO inspires and enriches the community through the art of music.  The Orchestra is passionately dedicated to outstanding musical performance at the highest artistic levels, and has a unique tradition of musical versatility, commitment to music education in the broadest sense and a deep and enduring engagement with the community.  The RPO has been honored with the New York State Governor’s Arts Award, and two ASCAP awards for adventurous programming in recent years.
