Education Takes the Stage Luncheon

Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at 12:00 PM

Riverside Convention Center

Ed_Takes_Stage_logo.jpgPlease join WXXI and the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra for the Education Takes the Stage Luncheon. This special event will include a fabulous lunch, live music, and guest-speaker Dr. Margaret Martin. You'll also learn more about the great educational programs that WXXI and the RPO offer our community.

Dr. Margaret Martin is the founder of Harmony Project (www.harmony-project.org), a program that provides instruments and tuition-free group and private music lessons to thousands of the most vulnerable children in Los Angeles as a means of positive youth development and social inclusion. Dr. Martin recently received the 2011 Presidential Citizens Medal, one of the highest civilian honors the US government can bestow, presented by President Barack Obama in a White House ceremony.

Tickets to the Education Takes the Stage luncheon are $55 per person or $500 for a table of 10. Proceeds will benefit the educational programs of WXXI and the RPO.

Registration begins at 11:30 am.

Tickets are available by calling Michael Ciaccia at 454-7311 x268.
