A Geneseo Salute to Veterans

A Gift to the Geneseo Community from the RPO
 Jeff Tyzik, conductor
This special free concert in honor of Veterans’ Day includes patriotic favorites such as Jeff Tyzik's Fantasy on American Themes and Armed Forces Song Medley—both featured on the RPO's HONOR: Portraits of America CD—as well as Sousa’s uplifting Stars and Stripes Forever, Richard Rodgers’ Victory at Sea, and music from John Williams’ score to The Patriot.
The RPO will also perform “A Call to Worship” from Tyzik’s Pleasant Valley Suite, Copland’s “Variations on a Shaker Melody” from Appalachian Spring, and Amazing Grace. The concert is dedicated to the memory of Geneseo's John Chanler, a Marine veteran.
Please note: This concert is free and open to the public; however, advance tickets are recommended. Tickets will be available beginning the last week in October at:
- John W. Chanler Agencies at 128 Main Street in Geneseo and 35 Main Street in Livonia
- SUNY Geneseo Special Events office, 105 Erwin Hall (M-F 8:00 am-4:15 pm, 245-5500)
- Wadsworth Auditorium prior to concert start.
