Jeff Tyzik conducts this free concert on the lakeshore for a lovely summer evening of music. Enjoy nostalgic favorites, including Jelly Roll Morton’s King Porter Stomp, Scott Joplin’s Sun Flower Slow Drag and Count Basie’s One O’Clock Jump as well as a number of original Tyzik compositions.
Principal Trombonist Mark Kellogg (The Austin E. Hildebrandt Chair) will be featured in a solo spot for a special tribute to bandleader and trombonist Tommy Dorsey.
