The all-American sport of baseball is followed by a free RPO concert at Frontier Field. Enjoy nostalgic favorites, including Jelly Roll Morton’s King Porter Stomp, Scott Joplin’s Sun Flower Slow Drag and Count Basie’s One O’Clock Jump as well as a number of original Tyzik compositions.
Principal Trombonist Mark Kellogg (The Austin E. Hildebrandt Chair) will be featured in a solo spot for a special tribute to bandleader and trombonist Tommy Dorsey.
The gates will re-open after the game for the concert at 8:30 p.m., culminating in a fireworks display.
