 In 2010-11 Laura Vlasak Nolen returned to Metropolitan Opera for Les contes d’Hoffmann, sang Adalgisa in Norma with Lyric Opera of Kansas City, Ines in Maria Padilla with Opera Boston, Fenena in Nabucco with Palm Beach Opera, Mendelssohn’s Elijah with Phoenix Symphony, Verdi’s Requiem with Opera Naples, and Mozart’s Requiem with New Choral Society. Recent successes include Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Waltraute in Die Walküre, Inez in Il trovatore (Metropolitan Opera); Samira in The Ghosts of Versailles, Dorotea in Pedrotti’s Tutti in maschera (Wexford Festival Opera); Iras in Antony and Cleopatra, Malcolm in La donna del lago (New York City Opera); soloist in Elgar’s The Music Makers (Dallas Symphony Orchestra); Rossini’s Stabat Mater (New York Choral Society); Bach’s St. Matthew Passion (Berkshire Choral Festival); Tisbe in La Cenerentola (Spoleto Festival USA); soloist in Haydn’s Mass in Time of War (Washington Chorus); and title role in Giulio Cesare (Glimmerglass Opera).
