From the end of June to the end of July, there's something for everyone during this RPO summer season. The RPO returns to CMAC in Canandaigua with Red, White, and Boom!—complete with fireworks and the 1812 Overture. And your entire family will adore the spellbinding experience of hearing John Williams’ music from your favorite movies, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, and Indiana Jones. Kids 12 and under are free on the lawn for all RPO CMAC concerts.
It’s Summertime in the City as the RPO performs its first summer concerts in the air-conditioned comfort of Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre. Jeff Tyzik conducts a concert version of Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess, as well as music by Duke Ellington. Then, it’s the Magical Music of Disney, with enchanting images on the big screen set to symphonic arrangements—and kids' tickets start at $10!
Join us as we celebrate Jeff Tyzik’s 60th Birthday in style as we wrap up our summer season at this extraordinary concert—with all proceeds benefiting the RPO Musicians’ Pension Fund. Jeff's Birthday Benefit Bash will treat audiences to an incredible range of your favorite works, including some of Jeff’s own, which will feature RPO musicians. And… we promise a few extra surprises, as some of Jeff’s close friends will join us to perform on stage! You won’t want to miss this remarkable birthday bash as we honor our remarkable Principal Pops Conductor, and pay tribute to our world-class musicians.
World-class conductors and guest artists perform at our Midsummer Classics series featuring the Schubert's "Unfinished" and more at Hochstein. We're back downtown to reprise our incredible Independence Day Celebration on the Main Street Bridge, complete with fireworks; and the Eastman Summer Conducting Institute returns. Plus, the RPO performs concerts at Ontario Beach, SUNY Geneseo, Frontier Field, and Temple B’rith Kodesh.
Tickets for summer concerts are on sale now. Stay tuned for more information on all that is in store for you this summer!
