Ravel: Le Tombeau de Couperin
Saint-Saëns: Havanaise for Violin and Orchestra
Ravel: Tzigane for Violin and Orchestra
Rachmaninoff: Symphonic Dances
Peter Bay returns to lead an evening of symphonic dance featuring violin virtuoso Amy Beth Horman. The Cuban-inspired Havanaise and traditional Gypsy music of the Tzigane complement the 17th- and 18th-century French dance music of Le Tombeau de Couperin. Rachmaninoff had hoped that his sketches for Symphonic Dances would become a ballet, but instead completed the work as an orchestral piece – his last work becoming an audience favorite.
Pre-concert chat at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $54, $42, $30, $20.
