The Runaway Bunny by Margaret Wise Brown is one of the most beloved and best-selling children’s books of all time—and now the RPO brings it onstage! This concert features the musical adaptation of Brown’s book, with a narrator and orchestra taking audiences on a journey with the adorable bunny.
The concert also includes a charming musical setting of Beatrix Potter's The Tale of Peter Rabbit. PLUS—in honor of Halloween, be sure to come in your costume!
Pre-concert activities start at 1:00 pm and include coloring pages, create your own puppets, and a photo station.
After the concert, Michael Butterman and Jennifer Carsillo will be signing the RPO's newest children's CD, The Story of Babar and A Family for Baby Grand, and Ittai Shapira will be signing copies of The Runaway Bunny, which was written especially for him to perform. Both CDs will be available for purchase at the concert.
