Symphony Showhouse - Second Floor

Earth tones and a gold faux wall finish create a warm and inviting sitting area with fine fabrics and period furnishings accenting the architecture of the home.
9. Stephanie's Room: Kay Nam – Kay’s Loft Interior Design
The “East meets West” style of Stephanie’s room affords tremendous creativity in a blend of Asian furnishings, colors and textures with western aesthetics combined with touches of whimsy.
10. Children's Bath: Amie Freling-Brown – Meme Hill Studio
Soft pastel colors, hand painted designs and trompe l’oeil ceiling and wall painting evoke a playful theme that is carried through in the colorful vintage accessories and toys.
11. Master Bedroom & Dressing Area: Rebecca Proctor, Carolyn Conde and Donnie Andreas – MacKenzie-Childs
Signature handmade, hand-painted ceramics and home furnishings by MacKenzie-Childs using unique combinations of color, pattern and materials fill the room.
12. Master Bath: Bia Ades and Mary Jo Conrad-Reingold – Dwellings
Original marble fixtures bold color and attention to lighting provide warmth and coziness to the architectural elegance of the Master Bath.
13. Ladies’ Guest Bedroom: Carol Urtz, Jeanne Phillips and Joan Schultz – Carol Urtz and Associates Interiors, Ltd.
Grand room proportions are warmed by deep red wallcovering. A dramatic canopied bed, plush fabrics and fireplace seating add luxury.
14. Guest Bath: Cass Kean – Cass Kean Interiors
The original taupe and cream tile and original leaded glass window are accented with a replica tin ceiling, wallcovering and rich, smoky purple-toned fabrics.
15. Second Floor Hallway: Gayle Hitchcock – Ivydale Interiors, Leila Doll – Willowbrook, and Viki Becker – Becker Furniture
The designers have drawn on the lives of their own mothers to create this wonderful tribute to women using rich caramel tones and black and white photographs.
16. Back Hall: Sharon Dwyer-Buzard – True Colors
A charming, wall-filled, early 1900s assemblage combined with a large painting by Sharon Buzard based on a family photograph.
17. Writing Room: Darcy Paddock, Ann John-Burnett and Lisa Addabbo-Hunt – Darcy K. Design
In a world of distractions, the Writing Room invites one to the quiet of sitting, reading or writing with its restful color, good art, Oriental rugs and eclectic antiques.
18. Porch - Second Floor: Sharon Dwyer-Buzard – True Colors
The Porch features a tribute to famous illustrator and native Rochesterian Maud Humphrey, with a life-sized cutout of the artist alongside her portrait of her son, Humphrey Bogart.
19. Linen Room: Sharon Dwyer-Buzard – True Colors
A display of decorative and utilitarian objects including clothing, pottery and jewelry from the early 1900s conveys the aesthestics of the Art Nouveau period.
20. MacKenzie-Childs Cupboard: Rebecca Proctor, Carolyn Conde and Donnie Andreas – MacKenzie-Childs
MacKenzie-Childs products are designed to complement a wide variety of styles from "cosmopolitan country" to antique French Provincial.
21. Designer’s Salon and 22. Salon Storage Annex: Patricia Piendel – Patricia’s inside design
The soft colors and warm textures in this dual office/couture salon transports you to the early 1900s with its iridescent coral window dressings, blue cushions, and burnished copper accents.
23. Sitting Room: Interiors Furniture and Joanie Valenti – Joanie Valenti Decorative Wall Finishes
Classic style has been given a relaxed look and romantic air for the informal receiving room used by the lady of the house. A faux finish with relief technique has been used on the walls.
