Gold medalist in the Tchaikovsky Piano Competition, Barry Douglas has a passion for the Romantic repertoire, and his powerful performance of Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 will show off the broad, dramatic melodies of this famous work. We celebrate Shostakovich’s 100th birthday in 2006 with his Symphony No. 10, a revolutionary piece that comments on the political situation of the time.
