David Angus
 David AngusJoined the RPO in 1973
David Angus, 3rd horn, has enjoyed playing in the RPO since 1973. He is also a member of the RPO Brass Quintet. A native of San Diego, Calif., Angus graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts before enrolling at the Eastman School of Music for graduate study. He attended Eastman on an NDEA fellowship, earning Master of Music and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees in horn performance as well as a Performer’s Certificate. He has been active as a representative of musicians over his entire career, serving frequently on the RPO’s Orchestra Committee and as its ICSOM Representative. He was an ICSOM officer for many years and currently serves as officer of the Rochester Musicians’ Association, Local 66 of the American Federation of Musicians. He and his musician spouse Jan have two grown children and one new grandson.
