Elizabeth Porter
An Indiana native, hornist Elizabeth Porter just completed her Artists Diploma from the Hamburg School for Music and Theater in Germany, after receiving the Alexander von Humboldt Chancellor Scholar award to study the natural horn. While in Germany, she was associate principal horn with the Lübeck Philharmonic Orchestra. No stranger to Rochester, Ms. Porter graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 2002 with the prestigious Performer’s Certificate, and continued on to the Shepherd School of Music at Rice University where she received her master’s degree in horn performance in 2004.
