Peter Bay

Music Director of the Austin Symphony and the Britt Festivals Orchestra in Medford, Ore., Peter Bay is highly regarded as one of the premier young American conductors. He was formerly Music Director of the Erie Philharmonic and has held four different conducting posts with the RPO. Mr. Bay has conducted performances at all three of Austin’s top performing institutions: the Symphony, Ballet Austin and Austin Lyric Opera. Guest engagements have included appearances with the Dallas, Houston, Baltimore, New Jersey, National and Saint Louis Symphony Orchestras as well as the Buffalo Philharmonic, Minnesota Orchestra and the Syracuse, Colorado, New Mexico, Virginia, West Virginia, Alabama, Honolulu and Eugene (OR) Symphonies, among others.
