James Gaffigan
 As one of eight young conductors chosen by David Zinman to participate as an Academy Conductor in Aspen, James Gaffigan made his debut with the Cleveland Orchestra in 2000, becoming Assistant Conductor from 2003 to 2006. In September, 2006 he was appointed Associate Conductor of the San Francisco Symphony. As one of the two First Prize winners at the 2004 Sir Georg Solti International Conducting Competition in Frankfurt, Mr. Gaffigan made his European debut with the Frankfurt Gesellschaft Museum Orchestra. He has guest conducted the Philadelphia Orchestra, New World and Indianapolis symphonies as well the New York Philharmonic Young People’s Concert. In June, 2005 he made his professional opera debut at the Zurich Opera conducting La Bohéme, returning for performances in May 2006. Future engagements include debuts with the Toronto and Houston Symphony orchestras.
