Benton Hess
 Conductor, composer, pianist, and educator Benton Hess is Distinguished Professor of Voice, Senior Vocal Coach and Music Director of Eastman Opera Theatre at the Eastman School of Music. His conducting credits include the Arkansas Opera Theater, Augusta Opera, Lyric Opera Cleveland, Minnesota Opera, New York Lyric Opera, Mercury Opera Rochester, and Washington Summer Opera. In addition, Mr. Hess has toured throughout the U.S., Europe, the former Soviet Union, and the Middle East as pianist/accompanist and master class clinician. For the past 35 years he has maintained a coaching studio with a clientele that has included Nicolai Gedda and Renée Fleming. He is also Musical Director of Centro Studi Italiani Opera Festival in Urbania, Italy.
