Chris Van Hof

Van_Hof_Chris-2.jpgTrombonist, educator, arranger, and broadcaster Chris Van Hof leads a multi-faceted career in the arts. He graduated cum laude from the Eastman School of Music (MM and Arts Leadership Diploma 2008), and summa cum laude from Western Michigan University (BM 2006), and currently teaches low brass and conducts the Low Brass Choir at Nazareth College as well as serving as the Afternoon Host and Producer of WXXI's Classical 91.5 each weekday afternoon from 2:00-7:00 pm. He performs with the Emerald Brass and the Po'Boys Brass Band, and as an active freelancer in jazz and classical. His arrangements have been performed by the Syracuse Symphony, Eastman Trombone Choir, and the Western Michigan University Jazz Orchestra. His students have earned spots in the Rochester Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, garnered top ratings at NYSSMA solo festivals, and have won the Nazareth College Concerto Competition. Chris enjoys running, cooking vegan food, and snowboarding with his wife Andrea.
