Tyler Duncan
 In spring 2010, Canadian baritone Tyler Duncan debuted at the Spoleto Festival in the ballad opera Flora, sang Dandini in La Cenerentola at Pacific Opera Victoria, and reprised Papageno in The Magic Flute at Greensboro Opera. He sang Demetrius in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Princeton Festival; and the title role of The Marriage of Figaro with the Munich Chamber Orchestra.
Duncan earned prizes from the Naumburg, Wigmore Hall, and ARD Competitions, and the Bernard Diamant Prize from the Canada Council for the Arts. He has given acclaimed recitals in New York, Boston, and Paris, throughout Canada, Germany, Sweden, and South Africa.
He holds music degrees from the University of British Columbia; Germany’s Hochschule für Musik (Augsburg) and Hochschule für Musik und Theater (Munich), with Edith Wiens and Helmut Deutsch among his teachers. He is a founding member on the faculty of the Vancouver International Song Institute.
