Bradley Fuster
Bradley Fuster serves as Music Department chair and associate professor of percussion at Buffalo State College. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Percussion from SUNY Geneseo, a Master of Music in Percussion from the Yale University School of Music, and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Percussion from the University of Southern California, with a minor in higher education policy analysis.
Fuster has toured and recorded on six continents as a symphonic percussionist and timpanist. He has served as the principal timpanist with the Santa Monica Symphony, Pasadena Lyric Opera, Pasadena Symphony, New Haven Symphony, Los Angeles Debut Orchestra, The Korean Philharmonic, The Riverside Chamber Music Society of New York, Maelström Percussion Ensemble, and the Los Angeles-based new music group, Ensemble Green. Between 2006 and 2010, Fuster recorded five CDs on the NAXOS label with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra featuring the works of Marcel Tyberg, Richard Strauss, Randall Bass, and John Corigliano.
In addition to Fuster's passion for contemporary and symphonic percussion repertoire, he is equally fluent in the marching idiom. As a nationally sought marching band clinician, Fuster has taught and arranged for countless high school marching bands throughout the United States and is sponsored by Pearl Drums, Adams Concert Percussion, and Regal Tip Sticks.
Fuster is a team member of the Buffalo-based company Druminar, a corporate training and team building consulting firm employed by national banks, international manufacturing companies, and major non-profit corporations.
