Christoph Campestrini

Campestrini_Christoph_Photo.jpgAustrian conductor Christoph Campestrini received his musical education at The Juilliard School, and simultaneously majored in philosophy and languages at Columbia University. Following his studies at Juilliard, he was the only European representative admitted to the founding class of the prestigious Yale University/Affiliate Artists Conducting Program, where he had the opportunity to work with prominent conductors such as Lorin Maazel, Wolfgang Sawallisch, and Kurt Sanderling. Campestrini has conducted more than 80 symphony orchestras on all five continents, including the Philadelphia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Philharmonic, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and Israel Sinfonietta. Additionally, Campestrini has served as Kapellmeister (Principal Conductor) with the prestigious Essen Aalto Musiktheater and Essen Philharmonic Orchestra. Campestrini has recorded for the labels ORFEO (Munich) and Signum (Heidelberg).
