Migle Zaliukaite

A native of Lithuania, mezzo soprano Migle Zaliukaite began studying music at the age of six at the music school Liepaites. She studied with acclaimed mezzo soprano Birtue Almonaityte. From 2012 to 2013, she completed Professional Certificate of Merit in voice at the New England Conservatory. In 2013, Ms. Zaliukaite began her studies with mezzo soprano Katherine Ciesinski at the Eastman School of Music, where she is supported by scholarship. Ms. Zaliukaite has participated in international music festivals, including 2006 European song festival and the 2007 "Let’s sing together," where she appeared on Lithuanian National television with Lithuanian orchestra. In the 2012–13 performance season, she gave recitals in Chennai, Boston and Rochester. In 2014, Ms. Zaliukaite organized and participated in benefit concert to support Lithuanian orphans. In addition to her studies at Eastman School of Music, Ms. Zaliukaite teaches music at the Edvardas Gervickas Lithuanian school in Rochester, NY. Throughout the summer of 2014, she will serve as music instructor at the Lithuanian camp Neringa in Vermont.
