Search for a Star Audition Information
Here’s your chance to perform on stage with your Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra!
Who:
Talented young adults in high school grades 10-12. Applicants must be enrolled in school (public, private or home), and will be limited to students in Monroe, Ontario, Wayne, Livingston, Orleans, Genesee and Wyoming counties.
What:
Audition categories are:
- Classical instrumental
- Pops instrumental (jazz and blues)
- Vocal (jazz, blues, Broadway and classical)
Important Dates:
Application deadline is October 27, 2006. There are only 200 audition times in each category, and they will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Auditions are November 19, 2006 – first round from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and callbacks from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Audition times will be assigned in advance, and you will be notified by mail. Auditions will take place at the School of the Arts, 45 Prince Street.
Rehearsals are February 2 and March 3. See application for details.
Performance is March 4, 2007 in the Eastman Theatre.
