It’s an Independence Day celebration to remember as the RPO performs patriotic and other all-American favorites complete with fireworks at CMAC! Michael Butterman leads a spectacular program that also features Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and pays tribute to our nation’s Armed Forces. Of course, no July Fourth celebration is complete without the 1812 Overture and Stars and Stripes Forever! Children 12 and under are free on the lawn.
Percussionists Jim Tiller, Mark Hodges, and Brad Fuster are featured in Russell Peck's The Glory and the Grandeur, a concerto for percussion trio that was called "a stunning tour-de-force" by the Miami Herald. Use this link to listen to audio samples.
