Just a week before the Eastman School of Music’s Conducting Institute concert with the RPO, ESM’s own Neil Varon leads the Orchestra in this quintessential midsummer classics performance. RPO Concertmaster Juliana Athayde takes center stage, performing Mozart’s energetic Fourth Violin Concerto. The evening also will feature Schubert’s emotional “Unfinished” Symphony as well as Stravinsky’s suite to his magnificent ballet Pulcinella, credited with ushering in Stravinsky’s “neo-classical” style for years to come!
