Well it's 6:30 a.m. in Vail and I've been up since about 5 a.m. ... guess I just don't want to leave this mountain paradise! Or maybe I just have a lot of packing to do. Either way, it's been an amazing week here at the Bravo festival. So many wonderful memories to recount.
It's hard to pick out one favorite but here are a few of mine: the opening night concert and reception; the all-Mozart program we performed with Christopher; the Mambo Kings concert with Jeff Tyzik; my Shrine Pass hike on the day off (with friends Charlie Bailey {pictured in photo at left}, Monica Fosnaugh and Gaelen McCormick); enjoying dinners with Christopher, Bravo directors John Giovando and Eugenia Zukerman and generous donors; and the numerous outings with friends and colleagues after concerts to various restaurants!
All in all, it has been a spectacular week. Everyone is a bit tired from our hectic schedule (six concerts in seven days!!) but it was worth every moment. The audience here clearly loves us, as was evident from the sold-out concerts and standing ovations! I will miss Vail until next year but I am ready to return home to Rochester and to our wonderful audiences. See you soon!!
